1stMate Matt,
I been followin' yer collumn and really appreciate the details in the issue 10 (Falling Hammer)article. if you want to get an idea of whats involved in sword making try a simple guard. Try to "cold raise" a cup from 16 gauge mild steel!!! OK so the hammer I have is probably too small and a section of RR track is not the best anvil, but it is tough work. I don't know the techniques used but I sure respect the work it takes to produce a simple cup knuckle guard from a reletively light gauge steel.

Well thank you my friend. I try to give a sword makers view during the review. I value your feedback and I am excited about this next column.
